Our Future
HFLA will continue to operate in the manner it has in the past, being fiscally prudent while simultaneously working to help people who are in need of microloan assistance. At the same time, HFLA will also be working to increase its community outreach, awareness and fundraising efforts.
HFLA firmly believes that through a stronger relationship with the mainstream organizations of our local Jewish community, an enhanced presence of information about the work conducted by HFLA and the development of a youth-oriented mitzvah project campaign, more needed funds will be raised and more people will be assisted during their time of economic hardship, which is the rationale for the existence of the organization.
HFLA has the proven ability to provide financial assistance to many in hopes of getting over their financial hardship and getting back on a healthy financial footing, but simultaneously doing so with sound fiscal practices and procedures.
For the past twenty years, Hebrew Free Loan Association of South Florida has been at the forefront of assisting people – families and individuals – in their time of financial distress or in their hopes of realizing a life-long dream. As each loan is repaid, the money is recycled in the form of a new interest-free microloan, which means that one’s contribution to HFLA will serve many individuals in perpetuity.
