Emergency Loan Fund

The Emergency Loan Program is deeply rooted in the ancient biblical charge of providing acts of charity, compassion and loving kindness. HFLA is usually a source of last resort. Clients come to us for temporary financial assistance due to an unexpected expense, and our helping hand in the form of a loan (rather than a handout) allows the borrower to maintain self respect and dignity.

An interest-free loan provides immediate financial relief along with an increase in self-esteem, because those in crisis see that others consider them productive and trustworthy and deserving of a loan.
